Germ Ran Out of Ideas

Alright. I’ve had a lot on my mind but the main thing is that I’ve run out of ideas for this website. At least as of right now, I have NO IDEA what I want to add. The trouble is I have ideas for possible page set ups and designs but I really just have nothing to put in them. I have the bones but no meat! (if you’ve noticed in the Bedroom the links to the Wardrobe and Travel Log have disappeared… well it’s for this exact reason. The Travel Log though I might try to figure out once I have actually y’know TRAVELED.) The other trouble is I have this nagging fear that there are a trillion more important things I could be doing. Like finishing the book I’ve been reading for months. Or doing my homework. Or working on my other half-baked projects and ideas. Or volunteering at the library. Or researching things for my big project. Or studying for my exams. You get it. So what I’m trying to say is: if this website goes a long time without an update don’t fret…

On other more life-update-y notes… I recently watched the Merrily We Roll Along proshot! What a fantastic musical wow WHAT A FANTASTIC PROSHOT! What fantastic actors WAOW. I loved Jonathan Groff as Frank. He's such a good actor wow wo wo wowowow. AND Lindsay Mendez as Mary I LOVED her. I originally thought I wasn’t really going to like Daniel Radcliffe as Charley because I had seen some other clips of other actors playing Charley that I liked a lot better than his Charley BUT. He did great. GOD everyone was just so good. The set design was especially gorgeous. YEAH ! Merrily We Roll Along… wonderful musical.

On a separate note. Old men love to give me assigned reading. What’s that about..??? I think it’s because I really love history so I talk about history a lot and so these old men that I talk to like my grandfather or well. My history teacher. Give me all these books to read about history. My grandfather recently gave me the book 1929 by Andrew Ross Sorkin. It’s a pretty hefty book and I’m debating on whether I’ll actually read it or not. Who knows. My grandpa said it got a little too detailed for his tastes, into all the lives and daily activities of the people involved. He didn’t like this aspect of the book but personally I think that's the most interesting part of history. Researching and understanding all these random people’s weird idiosyncrasies and habits and personality traits is always SUPER interesting to me. The human aspect of history is the most crucial part. Which is why I think I enjoy it so much, because it sort of reminds you of the humanity of all these weird little people that existed before you and how their lives are really not much different than the people around you today. My friends keep giving me their reasons for not having an interest in history, one of which being: “Why would you spend so much time caring about things that are just not relevant today?” Which is the most absurd thing I think anyone has said ever. How is history NOT relevant to today????? You exist in the context of everything which came before you !!!!! History gives you an understanding of this context which is what I love so much! It’s like there’s a scientific explanation for everything, I think there’s also a historical explanation for everything. Everything that we do today, everything about our daily routines and cultures and OUR idosincrasies is influenced by the idosincrasies of the people that lived hundreds of years ago. It’s all connected. That connection is very comforting to me.

OKAY my other update is that I’m trying to create like a fully fleshed out and researched Little Shop costume design just for the love of the game. BECAUSE NO ONE I'VE SEEN GETS IT RIGHT. Except for the AMTSJ Little Shop production I’m never talking about you baby I love you…. Anyways I’m taking matters into my own hands because I have such a specific vision for the show and I want to see it realized by my own two hands. But I’m also remembering how long and arduous the design process is especially for theatre. I’m trucking along just fine though. Maybe I’ll reveal it to the world here when I’m finished! If I don't end up just scrapping the whole thing. But the real truth is I just want something a little more impressive to put into my theatre portfolio… Stay tuned to see what happens with that.

The last thing I wanna talk about is that I’ve been playing The Outlast Trials! It’s a game I’ve heard a ton about and I would always see fanart of the characters on Tumblr but I never really knew anything about the game. Well recently I was able to pick up the game for free so I thought I might as well… and I have to say I really love it so far! I only have one gripe and it’s unfortunately the gameplay. I love the story. I love the vibes. I love the setting. I love the characters. I love the aesthetic of the game and how nasty it is ! BUT I hate the gameplay… and you know maybe it’s more fun with friends but GOD every trial I’ve played so far is so tedious and long and frustrating even on the easiest freaking game mode. Sigh… BUT the story and characters really make up for it. I used to not understand the hype for Franco Barbi. But I think I get it now… like most people on the internet I too have a proclivity for weird ugly little pervert guys I suppose. I’m giggling at that sentence. I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO DESCRIBE HIM. He fits all the basic criteria of a hit character that Tumblr freaks (including myself) latch onto. He’s short. He’s ugly. He’s weird. He’s a pervert. He has a canon mommy kink. He’s a baby. He wears a suit. He has a big gun. I dunno. I think it's the pervertness that people really like him for. Which I understand. He’s fun to draw. I love drawing characters that aren’t real people because I can draw them more fucked up and weird looking which is the great thing about all the Outlast characters. My 2nd favorite is Mother Gooseberry of course. (I’m surprised more people in the Outlast fandom ship Franco and Coyle more than they ship Franco and Gooseberry… like guys are we dense… it’s mama and baby…they’re both canonically into that… get real)

AND with that I have nothing more to talk about. That’s all folks… thanks for reading…
